Industrial Electrician – Welshpool

We’re seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician for a short-term project involving the installation, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment for a small processing plant in Welshpool.

• 3–4 weeks of work
• Welshpool workshop-based role
• Monday to Friday
• 10-hour shifts

The role

You’ll support the electrical installation and preliminary commissioning of a small processing plant before deployment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing cable trays and steel conduits
• Installing and terminating XLPE power cables in field equipment and MCCs
• Installing and terminating control and instrumentation cabling
• Completing point-to-point checks, insulation resistance testing and earth continuity testing
• Assisting with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
• Supporting commissioning and troubleshooting activities
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to the required project standards

To be considered, you’ll need:

• Current WA Electrical Licence
• EWP ticket
• Current LVR/CPR
• Provide First Aid
• White Card
• Current Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
• Ability to complete an instant drug and alcohol screen
• Strong industrial or mining electrical experience
• Previous experience with processing plants, MCCs, instrumentation or commissioning will be highly regarded
